Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors Preview 2/3/2022

Carlos Osorio/Associated Press

The Toronto Raptors continue their homestand against the Chicago Bulls at 7:30 p.m. EST on Thursday. In their last game, the Raptors outlasted the Miami Heat, 110-106. Toronto is on a three-game winning streak and a 26-23 record that has them in the eighth seed in the East. The Raptors fell to the Bulls in their last meeting on Jan. 26 at the United Center.

The Bulls have won four of their last five games. In their last game, the Bulls defeated the Magic, 126-115. Chicago is at the top of the East with a 32-18 record. They hold a one-game lead over the Heat.

How The Chicago Bulls Can Win:

The Bulls upended the Magic in their last game and the charge was led by DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. The duo combined for 55 points against a young Magic team. Similar to the Magic, the Raptors are a relatively young group outside of Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam. The Bulls can take advantage of this with their two top scorers, DeRozan and LaVine.

How The Toronto Raptors Can Win:

Toronto is fighting to stay in the mix for the playoffs with just over two months left in the regular season. Their success has been due in large part to the performance of supporting players like Gary Trent Jr., Scottie Barnes, and OG Anunoby. In order to win, those three supporting players, Trent, Barnes, and Anunoby will need to aid VanVleet and Siakam in scoring. The Raptors need to make this a high-scoring game because their defense will have trouble against the Bulls. It will be interesting to see the new version of the Raptors play against DeRozan, the former Raptors legend.

The Spread Via FanDuel:

Moneyline: TOR (-148)| CHI (+126)

Spread: TOR (-3)|CHI (+3)
