The Los Angeles Clippers will continue their road trip on Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m. EST. The Clippers are coming off a 110-102 loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday. Los Angeles holds the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference standings and a win on Tuesday will help them crack the top eight in the near future.
On the other hand, Washington is in a similar spot as Los Angeles because they are the 10th seed in the East and a half-game behind Boston for the No. 8 spot. Washington suffered a big loss at home to the Celtics on Sunday, 116-87. A win against the Clippers will help their confidence and position in the Eastern Conference.

It is no mystery that the Clippers have suffered without the presence of Kawhi Leonard. Paul George has been out with a UCL injury and his timetable to return is uncertain. Therefore, the pressure will lie on point guard Reggie Jackson to keep the Clippers afloat in this game against the Wizards.
If the Wizards find a way to compliment Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma, it will likely be a high-scoring game. The Clippers will need Jackson to run the offense and continue his scoring ways. Jackson scored 26 points in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks. Los Angeles will need help from Ivica Zubac in the interior, as well as contributions from Luke Kennard on the perimeter.

Washington needs to have a short-term memory and put Sunday’s loss to the Celtics behind them. Expect Beal to carry the offense like he usually does on a nightly basis. Beal had 19 points, five rebounds, and seven assists against the Boston Celtics. If second-year small forward Deni Avdija is able to replicate his 13-point, seven-rebound performance from Sunday, then that could cause a problem for the Clippers’ defense.
Beal will need to lead the way for the rest of his teammates, which is something he is used to doing. If Beal can score anywhere from 23-29 points, the Wizards could hang around with a very competitive Clippers squad.
