The Denver Nuggets will make their way to the Barclays Center to play against the Brooklyn Nets at 8 p.m. EST. The Nuggets are the sixth-best team in the Western Conference with a 25-21 record. They are on a two-game winning streak with both wins coming against the Detroit Pistons. Tonight, the Nuggets will face a limited Brooklyn Nets team due to health protocols and injuries. On Tuesday, the Nets suffered a 10-point, 106-96, loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at home. The Nets lost two games in a row against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lakers.

How The Denver Nuggets Can Win:

The Nuggets are hovering around the middle portion of the Western Conference standings, but they have momentum heading into this road trip. The Nuggets will have a size advantage over the Nets and they will need to take advantage of this. Center Nikola Jokic is having another MVP-caliber season with an average of 26.2 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 7.6 assists. In Jokic’s last outing, he registered 28 points, 21 rebounds, and nine assists against the Pistons. Jokic will impact the game with his playmaking skills and he will force the Nets to pay more attention to him.

How The Brooklyn Nets Can Win:

In order for the Nets to win, James Harden will need to have another high-scoring performance similar to his game against the Lakers. On Tuesday, Harden registered a triple-double performance with 38 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in the loss. The Nets will be without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant for Wednesday night. This puts more pressure on Harden to play the bulk of the minutes and carry the load on offense. Recently, Harden expressed frustration with the team’s struggles. If Patty Mills, LaMarcus Aldridge, and DeAndre’ Bembry are able to help out Harden, then the Nets will be able to hang around with a solid Nuggets team.

The Spread Via FanDuel:
