- Jaden Springer – Guard – Tennessee
Despite a top 10 grade on my personal draft board, it’s been reported recently that Springer is likely going to be selected somewhere in the 20’s and 30’s when draft day rolls around. However, his fit in OKC next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is why I think he could be a terrific selection for them at either the 16th or 18th pick. While I’m skeptical about his ability to run an offense, I think he’s the perfect complimentary guard in a backcourt next to Gilgeous-Alexander. His ability to spot-up and hit threes, attack closeouts, and be a secondary pick-and-roll ball-handler makes him the perfect backcourt partner for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He also will take a lot of defensive pressure off of him because of his ferocious point of attack defense and fiesty effort. His fit next to Shai on both ends of the floor is fantastic, and I think he’d be a terrific addition in the middle of the first round.
