- Isaiah Jackson – Big – Kentucky
It has been reported that Isaiah Jackson has received a first round promise and many have speculated that it is OKC that has given him that promise (either at the 16th or 18th pick). OKC is famous for giving out promises, most notably with last year’s first round pick Aleksej Pokusevski. Jackson is a raw shot-blocking big man from Kentucky who shined as a rim protector for the Wildcats. He’s an elite run and jump athlete with ridiculous upside as a rim runner. However, the intrigue for Jackson is with his untapped potential as a switchable defensive player and perhaps a more versatile offensive player. He’s shown the ability to blow past bigs and get to the rim off the bounce and make some really nice corner skip passes. He also could theoretically be a big who can switch ball screens because of his mobility and lateral quickness. He has some work to do in terms of decision making, feel for the game, and three-point shooting, but perhaps he could do a little more than what he showed during his freshman year at Kentucky.
