This is a new series that I am starting here that will look at prop betting in various sports for the days’ slate of games. A fair warning that today’s article will only feature overs as life’s too short to bet the under.

Minnesota Lock of the Night: Kyle Rudolph Over/25.5 Yards

This one is a no brainer for me just looking at the stats. The Seattle Seahawks give up an average of 65.6 yards to TEs per game, and with Kyle Rudolph being the featured TE in this Minnesota Vikings offense, he should pick up a good chunk of yards.

Rudolph averages 22.8 receiving Yds/G, but he has picked up the pace in the last few weeks, which includes a 67 receiving yard performance last week against the Denver Broncos. This should be a good game for the Vikings TE.

Seattle Lock of the Night: Chris Carson Over/90.5 Total Yards

This one almost seems like free money as Chris Carson averages 99.9 total Yds/G, which is more than the line for this game. The Vikings also give up 112.3 total Yds/G to RBs, so expect Carson to have a big game. Total yards in this case means rushing + receiving yards, which is great for Carson’s case considering he could run for nearly 90 yards on its own.

The Seahawks do have Rashaad Penny as their backup RB, but he should not take away significant touches from Carson.

Kirk Cousins Over/23.5 Completions

When doing the research for this game, I found out that the Seahawks give up an average of 25.5 completions per game. Seattle does not typically give up big plays, but they do leave the checkdowns open, which is a great sign for Cousins.

Kirk Cousins averages 20.5 completions per game, but I do expect him to excel against a defense that will give him the checkdown read the majority of the time. Cousins should have 25+ completions in this game.

Russell Wilson Over/264.5 Yards

I expect Russell Wilson to have a big game tonight against a Minnesota defense that has been struggling the last few weeks. Over the course of the entire season, the Vikings have allowed 261.5 passing Yds/G, but this number has jumped in the past six games as they have allowed 290.5 passing Yds/G in those last six games.

Wilson should excel against this defense and throw for nearly, if not over, 300 yards.

Stefon Diggs Over/79.5 Yards

With Adam Thielen ruled out for tonight, Stefon Diggs will be Kirk Cousins’ main receiving target, which should mean a good game for Diggs. Diggs averages 80 receiving Yds/G, which is just a tick above the total set for tonight.

In the past six games, Diggs has had four 100+ receiving yard games, which is a good sign. Expect a big game out of him. Even though the checkdown might be an easy read for Cousins, Diggs should still be able to find the soft spots in Seattle’s coverage.
