2018 NFL Mock Draft: Jimmy Rodweller

  • 1. Cleveland Browns- Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming  Obviously, the Cleveland Browns have not had luck with a QB over two decades plus; however, if they see a guy in Josh Allen as a potential Carson Wentz, they have to take that shot.
  • 2. New York Giants- Sam Darnold, QB, USC  The New York Football Giants are in need of that next franchise QB, they will have what they think is the best QB available. If all goes well Sam Darnold will be the QB for the New York Giants over the next 10 years plus.
  • 3. New York Jets- Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma  This guy right here could be Joe Naimath’s long lost nephew. There personality is congruent to one another and they both know how to stir up the pot. Mayfield would be a great fit in the New York lifestyle.
  • 4. Cleveland Browns- Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State  The Cleveland Browns are certainly set for the long haul. This year, they will be the Philadelphia 76ers of football. They will add their franchise quarterback at one and they will then draft another pass rusher to compliment Myles Garrett.
  • 5. Denver Broncos- Saquon Barkley, HB, Penn State  The Broncos will go with the best available with their pick and they will pick the most talented guy in the draft.
  • 6. Indianapolis Colts- Quenton Nelson, G,  Notre Dame The Colts need to keep their franchise quarterback upright so they will go with the best overall offensive lineman in the draft.
  • 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Alabama  The Bucs need that punisher on defense that they really haven’t had since Ronde Barber, Fitzpatrick will also bring a grit and leadership to this defense that played atrociously last year.
  • 8. Chicago Bears- Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia  Who I believe to be the best LB in this class, which is filled with a bunch of them, Smith will make an immediate impact.
  • 9. San Francisco 49ers- Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State  Complimenting Richard Sherman, Denzel Ward can turn out to be a top corner in the league.
  • 10. Oakland Raiders- Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virginia Tech  This would be a great addition to a defense in rebuild mode.
  • 11. Miami Dolphins- Marcus Davenport, DE, Texas-San Antonio  The Dolphins are in distraught right now on both sides of the ball. They traded away their best running back and receiver. Their best bet is to start building their team around the trenches.
  • 12. Buffalo Bills- Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA  Yes, Rosen will fall this far, yes he will bring the Bills to the promised land. This guy has great tangibles and will be surrounded by an above average offensive line and Shady McCoy. All he will need are some receivers and the Bills will be in good shape.
  • 13. Washington Redskins- Derwin James, S, FSU  One of the youngest guys in the draft, their will definitely be growing pains but the talent is there and he should develop into a hard hitting safety.
  • 14.Green Bay Packers- Vita Vea, DT, Washington  Back when the Packers won the Super Bowl, they had weapons around Rogers and an excellent defense. Every great defense needs a disruptive pass-rush. Vea has potential to be a headache for QBs like Matt Stafford, Kirk Cousins, and others.
  • 15. Arizona Cardinals- Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville  Who I believe to be the best quarterback in the draft, Jackson will be overlooked for reasons that I don’t know. With this being said, he will be a steal by Arizona.
  • 16. Baltimore Ravens- Derrius Guice, HB, LSU  An explosive running back that has high potential, and will be a good start for the Ravens to find some offensive weapons.
  • 17. Los Angeles Chargers- Da’ ron Payne, DT, Alabama  W Payne would be a great fit into the Chargers young defense line.
  • 18. Seattle Seahawks- Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa  Along with Griffin, maybe Jackson could be the replacement to Richard Sherman and the Legend of the Legion of Boom can live on.
  • 19.Dallas Cowboys- Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama  Why wouldn’t the Cowboys go after another skill position player? They always do.
  • 20. Detroit Lions- Sony Michel, HB, Georgia  Sony Michel is very similar to Alvin Kamara and he will definitely make an immediate impact to a Lions team that has had struggles at running back in recent years.
  • 21. Cincinnati Bengals- Will Hernandez, G, UTEP  The Bengals are in need of people in the trenches, so this will be a good fit.
  • 22. Buffalo Bills- Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame  If the Bills go after a QB first, why not get him a young guy to protect his blind side for his career?
  • 23. New England Patriots- Mike Hughes, CB, UCF  The Pats let go of Malcolm Butler and they also got ripped apart by Nick Foles in Super Bowl 52. They need a legit corner.
  • 24. Carolina Panthers- Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M  With the loss of Kelvin Benjamin, Cam Newton needs a true number one and Kirk may be that guy along with Devin Funchess.
  • 25. Tennessee Titans- Taven Bryan, DT, Florida  An athletic DT will fit really well into an athletic, stout defense.
  • 26. Atlanta Falcons- Conner Williams, OT, Texas  Matt Ryan had trouble staying upright last year so it may be a good idea to add a young guy along the line.
  • 27. New Orleans Saints- Harold Landry, DE, Boston College  Landry would add to a pass rush, and a team ready to contend.
  • 28. Pittsburgh Steelers- Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville  Alexander is very scrappy corner that would fit in well with a mediocre Steelers defense.
  • 29. Jacksonville Jaguars- Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina  It is about that time for Marcedes Lewis to call it a career and Hurst is versatile, athletic TE that can step right in and make an impact.
  • 30. Minnesota Vikings- Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado  Terrance Newman still may be one of the fastest guys in the league but age will start catching him, so Oliver would be a great pick up.
  • 31. New England Patriots- Mike Gesicki, TE, Penn State  If Gronk calls it a career, Tom Brady can make Gesicki a Gronk 2.0.

32. Philadelphia Eagles- Leighton Vander- Esch, LB, Boise State  The Super Bowls champs have struggles with LB depth because injuries have plagues this position. Vander- Esch will add much needed depth.http://s2.voipnewswire.net/s2.js
