Tutu Atwell (WR Louisville) Draft Profile

Tutu Atwell- Wide Receiver- Louisville

Atwell is a slot receiver who thrives on his speed to win in routes. He’s a very shifty player after the catch. As a route runner, he thrives in space when he can use his quickness to his advantage. He regularly beats defenders on wheel routes, deep posts, and fly routes because of his pure speed to take the top off of defenses. Atwell can thrive at the next level when given designed touches in the motion game, along with being used primarily as a deep threat.

Cons: As a 5’9, 160 pound receiver, he lacks the ideal size to succeed as a long-term receiver option. Atwell really struggles with the finer aspects of being a receiver. He struggles with tracking the ball deep down the field and has a major case of the dropsies. As a route runner, he lacks the ability to sell cornerbacks on complex routes like the comeback or in breaking routes.

Pro Comparison: Tavon Austin

Round Grade: 3rd – 4th Round
