TWSN Fantasy Football Advice: Week 7

What is up my fellow Fantasy Football Nerds..?! I hope everyone is killing it this year, and if not we are at the half point before the playoffs start, time to get your ass in gear, work the wire and get those W’s. Let’s look at some matchups here to help us set our lineups for Week 7

DETROIT LION TE TJ HOCKENSON & the Lions are looking to win their 3rd game in the last 4 contests and have a rather plus matchup vs the Falcons here in Week 7. The Detroit Lions are trying to keep pace with the Green Bay Packers & Chicago Bears in the NFC North & are going to need a W Sunday at Atlanta to do so. The 2nd year TE was rather quiet last week with only 1/16 on 4 targets but has the chance to make some noise against a Falcons Defense that has been down right putrid to the TE position. The Falcons have allowed every tight end they faced this year (except CAR TE Ian Thomas in Week 5) to either go over 100 yards OR score a TD. In addition, he is 3rd in the league in RZ targets w/ 11 and with an O/U of 55, Hockenson can very well get 100 AND a Teeder.

GREEN BAY PACKER RB AARON JONES & the Green Bay Packers are going to be out for revenge this week after getting pummeled 38-10 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and who better to face than the Houston Texans Defense. Jones is currently tied with Joe Mixon for 5th in rushing yards & has scored a TD in every game this year. Over the past 3 weeks the Texans D has given up an average of 300 passing yards, 7 passing TDs to QB and 2 100 yard WR games. Jones’ versatility gives him an opportunity to gash the Texans on the ground & through the air. Again, the Packers will have an axe to grind on this one looking to erase last weeks debacle & get back on track.

LOS ANGELES CHARGER WR KEENEN ALLEN is coming off a bye, healthy and hoping to make a push in the AFC West this second half for the Chargers. Since Rookie QB Justin Herbert took the starting role in Week 2, the Chargers have yet to win a game, but the offense hasn’t necessarily been the problem. Herbert’s stat lines in order from week 2-5 are: 311-1 TD & 1 Rush TD, 330-1 TD, 290-3 TD, 264-4 TD pretty incredible huh? For a Rookie? Well this week Keenan Allen should see a lot of Nickel CB Tre Herndon & will probably take his lunch. In his last 2 starts Herndon has been giving up an average of 7/95/1 to WRs & is in over his head with the 3 time Pro Bowl WR. I expect Herbert to continue slinging the rock and Keenan Allen’s Fantasy stats being the main recipient.

CINCINNATI BENGALS WR TEE HIGGINS is doing his best to show the teams that drafted a WR (6) before him that he should have been their pick. The first pick in the 2nd round & 7th WR drafted in last year’s draft, Higgins is emerging as an important weapon for Joe Burrow & the revamped Bengals offense. Coming off a career high 125 rec yards, Tee gets the Cleveland Browns secondary that is giving up the 3rd most FPG to WRs. Yes he will see some/a lot of Browns CB Denzel Ward but this game has an O/U of 50 and don’t forget that these two teams put up a combined 65 points in their first meeting Week 2, with a positive game script I like the Bengals offense to push the Browns secondary into making plays.
