TWSN Gambling Corner: NFL Week 9

Seattle Seahawks vs Buffalo Bills: OVER/55

The Seahawks have the third best passing offense in the league in terms of yards per game, and they are playing an average defense in the Buffalo Bills. The Bills do not have a bad passing offense either with 263.4 passing yards per game, which is 10th best in the league, and they are up against the Seahawks who have the worst pass defense in the league. Both teams are going to air the ball out and put points on the board.

Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)

Earlier in the week I had the Lions winning this game straight up, but after analyzing this matchup, I like the Vikings to cover. Last week Dalvin Cook ran for 163 yards and he caught 2 passes for 63 yards. I expect a heavy dosage of Cook again against a Lions team that surrenders 130 rushing yards per game. Cook will lead the Lions to a victory today.

Houston Texans (-6.5) vs Jacksonville Jaguars

This is a matchup of two 1-6 teams, but it is important to note that Houston’s one win came from a 16 point lead against the Jaguars. In that game, Deshaun Watson threw for 359 yards and David Johnson ran for 96 yards. The Jaguars are without Gardner Minshew who threw for 301 yards against the Texans. Jacksonville will start 6th round rookie Jake Luton, who could find the same success that Minshew had last season, but I doubt that will happen. The Texans will ran away with this one early against a bad Jaguars defense.
