TWSN Fantasy Football Advice: NFL Week 16

16 grueling weeks, counting every yard, every catch, all comes down to this! Congrats if you’ve come this far in the 2020 Fantasy Football Season because you are only 1 game away from that Chip, that trophy, that $$$. For me it is bitter sweet when Fantasy Football ends, you of course get to relax and WATCH every game from a neutral stance without the stress, but also miss the competition a little too when it’s gone. But right now we are here and playing to win. Let’s look at a few plus matchups for Week 16. Also just want to wish all the subscribers and readers Best of Luck in the Fantasy Football Finals, and of course a VERY Happy Holiday to everyone!!!

CHICAGO BEARS RB DAVID MONTGOMERY is defining what it means to be a LEAGUE WINNER in Fantasy Football. The second year RB, drafted in the 3rd round by Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears, is in the midst of his best stretch as a pro & is simply ON FIRE! Here are his last 4 games all purpose yards/TD: 162/2, 145/1, 110/2, 143/1. Now lets be fair, all of this hasn’t just been Monty running around like his hairs on fire, he has had sustained QB play with Mitchell Trubisky back at the helm, as well as an Offensive Line shift that has seemed to help arguably the most. The facts here are that the Week 16 opponent for the Bears, the Jacksonville Jaguars, are in the bottom 3rd of the league in defending the RB, are a 7.5 point underdog at home, and would be stupider than the NY Jets if they even think about winning another game in 2020. Lets roll out with Montgomery & keep it moving…

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES QB JALEN HURTS has given Philly fans a whole new feeling about the team, the direction they are heading in the future and about Carson Wentz, but that’s another story for another day. Here we have Jalen Hurts who has absolutely given the Eagles a boost since taking over Week 13. The Eagles are 1-1 in games Hurts has started since, but he has looked SOOO much better than the aforementioned Wentz. Hurts brings his legs to the party that allow him to break from the pocket at a moments notice and take off which we have seen to help younger QBs settle into the position and keep defense a little more honest. The 53rd overall pick in the 2020 draft has rushed for 200 yards and a TD in the 2 ½ games since he’s been under center and that’s NOT something to take lightly as a Fantasy Owner. The Cowboys defense has struggled vs rushing QBs this year, for the games they faced a “rushing QB” Dallas is allowing at least 70 yards and 1 TD. Gameflow shouldn’t be a negative as I like the over in this one, and that means points, points, points!!!

TENNESEE TITANS WR COREY DAVIS is only 54 yards away from his first career 1,000 receiving yard season and his Tennessee Titans are in the driver’s seat for the 2 seed in the AFC. Two reasons why I like this game 1) The gameflow and competitiveness in 2 teams, well on their way to the playoffs but still playing for seeding. Pro Bowl snub Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry & the Titans offense will have to keep pace w/ MVP candidate Aaron Rodgers and the Pack. 2) Davis has been the perfect WR2 for fantasy this year surpassing 65 yards in 10/12 games, having a career year & while AJ Brown will see a lot of GB CB Jaire Alexander, Davis will get big play opportunities. The only thing that can slow down Tannehill, Davis & the Titans offense, is Derrick Henry of course. The MVP candidate Henry has 2000 rushing yards in his sight, needing to average 160 yards the next two weeks and about to face a Packers’ run defense that has already allowed 5 different RBs to score at least twice on the season.

Fire up your Titans (and Packers) this ones a START EM ALL…!
