This time of year there is SO much riding on every start/sit decision and every play of every game, I hope I was able to provide you guys with some insight throughout the year, helping you through some of the tough decisions & into the victory lane. This week we have some tough games, teams fighting for their playoff life and others a draft spot. We are going to look at a few matchups I like to give you an advantage in Week 15
SAN FRANCISCO 49er WR BRANDON AIYUK is one of my favorite young wide receivers in the NFL right now, and you all should know after I proclaimed my love for him and Deebo on last week’s podcast. But here we are, Week 15 fantasy playoffs and Brandon Aiyuk is set up for a very nice matchup. Coming into this week the 25th Overall pick in the 1st round of the 2020 draft Aiyuk has surpassed 75 yards and/or scored a TD in every game over his last 5 weeks, seeing double digit targets in 4 out of those 5 making him a high end WR2 during that span. Dallas has surrendered a TD to opposing teams #1 WR in 3 out of the last 4 games, this week Aiyuk is the 49ers WR1 and you can rest assured he will produce!
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS QB PHILIP RIVERS must be drinking from the fountain of youth right?! Could it be the fact that Rivers rarely gets hit/sacked and that he has all the time in the world behind that Oline, or maybe old man Rivers is just ballin ‘out! In his last 4 games Rivers has passed for at least 285 yards, has thrown 10 TDs to just 2 INTs and is QB9 during that same 5 game stretch. Not to mention Rivers is finally starting to get the WR1 TY Hilton that we all know & love back, after scoring all 4 of his 2020 TDs in the last 3 games while surpassing 80 yards as well. I really like TY in this game & he could have easily been the highlighted player here in the article. As for Week 15 bring on Deshaun Watson & the Houston Texans that (other than last week vs CHI) have been playing better since departed HC Bill O’Brien & are generally putting up yards & points on the scoreboard, so the game flow should favor Rivers and the Colts. This game has an O/U of 51 and Rivers has QB1 written all over him
LOS ANGELES RAMS RB CAM AKERS like everyone predicted is a Week 15 STUD! Weeeeell, it kinda took a little longer than most of us thought but this is what we expected from the 2nd round RB selected from Florida State University. The last 3 weeks, since given the opportunity, Akers has really shown the Rams that he can be their RB piece to the Championship puzzle. Akers has gone off the last three games rushing for 327 yards and scoring 2 TDs, the last two games getting the ball 21 & 29 times respectively. He is commanding the ball in this high powered offense & about to play the Jets who just gave up 164 scrimmage yards and a score last week to Seattle. The only thing that can screw this up is if McVay gets cute and decides to evenly distributed his RB touches vs the lowly Jets.
