Rashod Bateman – WR – Minnesota
Pros: Bateman fits the physical profile of an elite receiver, with his 6-foot-2, 211-pound frame. His production more than backed it up, putting up 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns, eventually earning first-team Big-Ten honors in his sophomore season. Bateman’s athleticism showed after the catch, routinely flashing the ability to break a tackle, all the while, showing the speed to beat a defense over the top. In his junior season Bateman will look to build upon his production, and secure himself as a first-round pick.
Cons: Bateman’s a decent route-runner, but far from elite. In the bowl game against Auburn he struggled to create consistent separation against Dolphins first-round pick Noah Igbinoghene. Bateman’s got a great first step, but isn’t as productive coming in and out of breaks within his route, but does have flashes of creating separation.
